About the project
The customer’s company owns two applications that are used in utilities. The first one is a cloud platform for operators of utility services call centers aimed at simplifying and optimizing the process of communication with clients. The second one, in turn, is developed directly for clients and allows them to view their utility bills or meter readings, and, if necessary, terminate contracts. The task for Andersen’s team was to create a new user-friendly design for these platforms.

On the base of ready-made solutions, our team created a simple, intuitive and user-friendly design for the call center platform. We created a new design of various forms, icons, and categories of the application, redrew the screens, improved certain application components, removed unnecessary buttons and tabs, and thus streamlined the design of the application.
For the second platform aimed at clients, we also created a simple and intuitive design, style of categories, tabs, registration and service launch forms, forms for entering meter readings. Besides, we worked on displaying consumption and payment schedules, which enable users to analyze their utility consumption and optimize it.
Finally, we created two attractive and simple designs which ensure the convenient usage of both customer platforms
The new designs of the platforms for clients and call operators were presented at the SAP for Utilities conference, where it received general approval. According to the customer’s employees feedback, new design allows them to carry out their job almost twice faster than before, while clients are totally satisfied with the ease of use of the platform. Besides, simplicity and convenience of the design attracted new clients and thus allowed the customer to expand its client base.
The new designs enabled our call operators to work faster led to the extension of our client base. That’s the result we expected hiring designers from Andersen. We are really impressed by their creativity and reasonable suggestions which, as we think, turned the usage of the platforms into joy. We want to thank each of them for their job.
